Under whom the bench gets very hot

11 rounds of the 2023 season have passed, so we are closer to the end of the season than the beginning. Back then, everyone was hopeful, but now dark clouds are gathering in many places. Black Monday is still a long way off, but it's worth looking at who may fear for their job at the end of the year, and who should get their act together quickly if they don't want to metaphorically end up on the street. So let's take a look at the head coaches under whom the bench is already hot, or is just getting hot. For those who would be surprised to stay

Josh McDaniels was fired almost a month ago, and I think there are at least three other coaches who would be surprised if he could keep his job. With that being said, we wouldn't mind either of them being fired before the end of the season. Frank Reich, Panther

The Panthers put together an All-Star coaching staff of seasoned NFL professionals last winter, so we didn't think it would be such a flop. And still. Carolina is currently 1-9 in the 1/1 position, which they cannot reap the benefits of, as they gave their pick to the Bears to draft Bryce Young.

That Young, who doesn't look like a viable NFL running back at all right now. Of course, he is a victim of many circumstances, as his offensive line is horrible and his catchers can't break away either, so he starts from a rather difficult position - and he started at a disadvantage anyway due to his body structure. Of course, Young might just be a colossal bust by himself, but the environment and the coaching staff usually play a huge role in whether a young QB succeeds. In addition to the conditions seen on the field, the coaching staff also has a huge responsibility, since this offensive line is completely static, boring, and has no support, where Young is not supported at all.

The fact that at most the two New Yorkers are worse in the league on the offensive line is a thing in itself that attracts a dismissal, but in addition, based on ESPN data, the Panthers commit the most penalties that result from lack of preparation and easily avoidable mental errors: false starts , too many people on the field, bad line-up, etc. This is also an obvious coaching responsibility.

On the one hand, Reich could have job security, since he is a veteran coach with a new manager, and he also received a lot of salary, so it is rare to fire someone after one year. At the same time, the team has a famously impatient owner in the person of David Tepper, who does not mind sunk costs.

It's hard to imagine the Panthers improving enough in the coming weeks to save Reich's job. It is a good question, to whom and why this job opportunity would be attractive.
