Browns beat Steelers 13-10 in nail biter of a game

CLEVELAND (WJW) — The Browns and Steelers rivalry kicked off in Cleveland with both teams battling to gain sole possession of 2nd place in the AFC North behind the front-running Baltimore Ravens. And, with seconds to go in the game, the Browns beat the Steelers, 13-10.

Here’s how it all started:

Cool, dry, and sunny conditions greeted fans and players along the Lake Erie Shores.

Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, nicknamed DTR for short, and the Browns got the ball first but the drive quickly fizzled out.

Myles Garrett put a hard hit on Pittsburgh QB Kenny Picket putting the Steelers at their own 1 yard-line.

Browns take a 7-0 on a one-yard TD run by Jerome Ford.

Browns lead the Steelers after the 1st quarter 7-0.

Cleveland is playing hard-hitting defense.

Midway through the 2nd quarter both defenses are playing stingy football.

Browns take a halftime lead of 10-0 after Dustin Hopkins connects on a 25 yard-line field goal.

Cleveland’s defense held Pittsburgh’s offense to only 65 yards in the first half.

Rip-roaring into the third quarter, the Steelers did what they do from time to time, score. It was a 74-yard touchdown run, the longest for them in nine years. This moved the score to 10-7.

Both teams are locked in a defensive battle.

Browns lead 10-7 as the 4th quarter starts. Myles Garret continues to be a force of nature in the NFL and gets his second sack of the day.

It’s a nailbiter now as the Steelers tie the game at 10-10 on a 28-yard field goal halfway through the 4th quarter.

Yards seemed to be hard to come by in the fourth quarter.
With five seconds to go in the game, it all came down to a kick from Hopkins. And it was good, with two seconds left. Putting Browns back in front 13-10. And that’s how it all ended.
